Nevarith Sept

From House of Khilat

The Nevarith sept is a minor branch of Meadowdancer loyal to the noble House of Khilat. The tribe was originally organized and secretly lead by the Dark Elf Nevarith Stardust, who passed leadership to his son, and in later generations, the tribe took Nevarith's name in his honor.

The Nevarith's primary estate is in the Greycloak Hills near the Lonely Moor.

Appearance and Traits

Nevarith are swarthy skinned Moon elves. They typically have black or blue hair, and green eyes, but a the full range of moon elf characteristics are found in the sept.

This lesser branch is known for producing large numbers of fighters, typically barbarians or berserkers, with a few rangers. They also have a secret order of Dusk Blades who practice an ancient form of Dark Elven Bladesong. High ranking priests are typically Spellsingers of Eilistraee, while Rillifane Rallathil is the revered by the clan shamans and Druids. Above average levels of Psionic powers are found in the clan, with many wild talents and some trained Psionicists. Magic users are very rare but often wield powerful ancient high magic and psionic talents.

Raising livestock is a large cultural tradition of the clan, with nearly all young members taking part in the tasks. Gathering is also commonly practiced, with minimal cultivation of natural food sources. Craftsmen of the clan make practical goods from natural materials, including tents, wagons and tools.

After the crown wars, some clan members began wandering the realms as gypsies and gypsy bards. They travel far and wide, trading goods and information, and working as entertainers or tinkers. They still belong to the clan, returning to their homeland on a regular basis, and aiding the extended hierarchy of the House of Khilat.

Insignia

The insignia of the sept is a horizontal black scimitar with a silver star on the hilt, on a field of green. Forming an arc above the curved blade of the scimitar are seven silver stars.

Colors for the sept are green and black.
