The wielder can achieve a Berserk rage once per day, gaining the benefits and hindrances of being a Berserker while under the influence of the Berserk rage.

The sword has a lore gem in the hilt. The gem grants weapon specialization, or an additional level of weapon proficiency if the wielder is already specialized. The weapon can also teach an ancient form of Dark Elven Bladesong. Any elf in physical possession of the blade can receive the benefits of the knowledge transfer, which must be followed up with physics training to be of any benefit. Training is still arduous, but training time is reduced by 50%.
