The powers of the mantle are transferred to each owner who successfully passes an intelligence check for the Kiira. The powers of the mantle are fairly set, and any attemp to enhance it with a new power runs the risk of destroying the gem, but the wearer can replace an existing spell of the mantle with another of the same level with minimal risk, and if the spell is of the same general nature then no risk at all. In this way, almost all of the mantle spells contain minor variations from the standard versions, providing small benefits. | |
