On command, the blade can generate a breeze between 5 and 40 miles per hour. The breeze typically blows from the base of the blade in the direction of the tip, but with practice can be directed in any direction from the blade, including towards the wielder. The breeze forms a cone with a 10 foot diameter with a reach up to 40 feet. When the breeze exceeds 30 miles per hour, it is treated equivalent to a Gust of Wind spell, capable of impeding creatures up to medium size, blowing objects away, and fanning large fires up till 1d6 feet.
