Khilat Moonblade - Skyshimmer

From House of Khilat

Dates: -8,406 to - DR (years)

Powers

Wind

On command, the blade can generate a continuous breeze between 5 and 40 miles per hour. The breeze typically blows from the base of the blade in the direction of the tip, but with practice can be directed in any direction from the blade, including towards the wielder. The breeze forms a cone with a 10 foot diameter with a reach up to 240 feet. When the breeze exceeds 30 miles per hour, it is treated equivalent to a Gust of Wind spell, capable of impeding creatures up to medium size, reducing movement of large creatures by 50%, blowing small objects away, and fanning large fires up till 1d6 feet from their source.

Air Wrap

On command, the blade can be encapsulated in a bubble of recirculating air up to a 5 foot radius. This bubble is strong enough to expel water, flame and contaminated air. This bubble can be extended around any creatures in direct contact with the blade. The thickness of the encapsulating air will depend on the size and number of creatures affected, but it is definitely sufficient to wrap a fully grown dragon with a man sized rider with a few small or tiny creatures.

Aerial Acceleration

With minimal concentration, the encapsulating air can be used to reduce air friction of any flying creature in direct contact with the blade. Similar to the draconian spell aerial acceleration, the flying creature can increase flying speeds by 50% at the cost of maneuverability class. Concentration to maintain the effect can last for as many turns as the creature has intelligence points, with a subsequent number of turns of mental rest required before the speed boost can be resumed. Riders in direct contact with the blade my share responsibility for maintaining the power, with the possibility of nearly continuous periods of boosted flight speed.
