Aliatris was practically raised in the temple, and spent his youth in religious study and combat training. Adoneiros often visited the temple and often gave fighting lessons to Aliatris. When Aliatris came of age, he chose to follow Adoneiros rather than become an officer of the temple guard. When Adoneiros took up service as resident priest of the Singing Island, Aliatris appointed himself protector of the holy Melodious Meadow and its priesthood. He is completely in awe of Chiliad as a warrior without peer and Knight of the Harmonious Order, as well as his singing talent and priestly status, but considers Chiliad more of a visiting VIP like he was treated at the Hall of Inspiration in Silverymoon.
