Powers

Seeking

The sword is effective against invisible and hidden opponents, including those on other planes of existence.

Combat

The sword veers towards its target, negating concealment penalties from invisibility, darkness, camouflage, hiding and existence on another plane.
This power is available during melee and when thrown.  

Backstabbing

The sword can seek out vital organs on surprise attacks. This is not limited to humanoid targets, but any creature with a vital organ is subject to potential backstabbing damage multipliers.
Wielders with the thief class gain an additional rank and damage multiplier on a successful backstabbing. Top level thieves achieve x6 damage when using the sword.
Non-thief wielders can backstab with double (x2) damage equivalent to a 1st level thief. Stealth skills are not granted by this power, so opportunities must be achieved by the wielder’s skill or favorable circumstances.

Warning

The sword will provide warning when invisible or hidden enemies are within 100 yards. It will wake the wielder from sleep when enemies approach.

Purple Cat's Eye gemstones serve as the silver dragon's eyes. While not a silver dragon trait, purple eyes are common in the Khilat family line due to Deep Dragon heritage. The stones glow a faint purple when the sword detects hidden opponents.

-Two owl wings of silver, gold and bronze extend from each side of the ricasso. The feathers are sharp and separated at the outer edge. In long sword form, the tines are 4 inches wide for a 10 inch wingspan. On the back side of the ricasso, the body of the owl is worked onto the blade in silver, gold and bronze work with two golden tiger's eye gemstones framed in platinum circles appearing like the owl's face.
