Girdle of Stars

This large belt is 6 inches wide and made of a heavy reptilian skin ranging in color from medium to dark blue studded with brass scales. The front of the girdle has a large grey star shuriken within a circle of dark blue. At each of the five points of the larger star is a small star of dark metal.

Powers

Wearing the girdle grants Ogre Strength 18/00 with +3 to hit and +6 to damage. Further, the wearer can power up the girdle to higher strength for 5 rounds by absorbing balls of lightning from the Star Sword, achieving a maximum of Cloud Giant strength.

The belt will dispense 5 star shuriken (1d4/1d4 damage) per day that are treated as +1 to hit and damage with additional damage for strength. The stars will appear as a grey non-metallic material, like baked clay, and the edges will appear discolored. The shuriken will arc electrically and crumble into dust within 2 rounds of being thrown.

The belt provides protection from lightning, or the user can choose to catch lightning and redirect it. Caught lightning can be forked to strike up to 5 opponents. The user has a 10% chance per level to catch a bolt, maxing out at 95%. Failing to catch the bolt requires the user to save or take half damage.

The wearer can use Shocking Grasp for 1d8 damage once per day, even through a metallic weapon. If delivered through the Star Sword, damage is 3d8. Armor class rating for the opponent’s metallic armor is negated for purposes of this attack.
