Zannan Carter

Zannan had a medium muscular build. His hair is medium brown and kept short. His eyes are light hazel and friendly. He almost always has a smile on his face suggesting he knows something they don't, especially when facing opponents. He has a reputation for being a good listener, sympathizing with the speakers point of view while giving good impartial advice and keep the other persons secret. He gladly shares gossip when he knows it is widely known on the street and will have minimal consequences to him or any of his current missions. He is very charismatic and has developed an excellent reputation putting him on par with many local Heralds.

Zannan typically wears the tradition attire of the Heralds, including his heraldic tabard for formal occasions. As a Herald, he is know for singing his announcements. Common amoung devotees, he wears a small leather badge of Denier's candle and purple eye symbol embossed onto Oghma's scroll symbol. His Harper pin is carefully hidden behind a flap representing the candle flame, where it can be flashed with a careful pinch of the leather in just the right way.

Zannan regularly feeds birds and often has a small entourage of them following him. Several of the bolder animals will often land on him when he is outdoors. Some follow him indoors through open windows. He hides his familiar in this crowd of birds to avoid it being associated with him since the familiar often spies on people of interest to Zannan.

Zannan was inducted into the Harpers as an agent after his impromptu assistance with a Harper assignment involving political manipulations. Zannan was very discrete about his membership and was nominated to become a Herald in-training. King Azoun IV chartered him as a court herald in Suzail to serve (and watch over) certain noble families in the city, where he was assigned to the recently renewed House of Chiliad.

Zannan maintains a very careful balance between his loyalties to the Harpers, Heralds, King Azoun IV and Chiliad. He respects the need of the Heralds to be neutral and just, while he feeds information to the Harper network to defeat evil.
