The Ultimate Campaign (TUC)
The Ultimate Campaign was a group of players who set out to have the best game possible. The game started with AD&D, later called 1st Edition, including later supplements like Unearthed Arcana. They all knew the rules. All optional rules were permitted. DM duties were rotated, while the DM's character was either away during the adventure or loosely controlled by the other players.
When 2nd Editions was released, it was agreed to move to the new rules. This caused some contention with some characters that were strongly impacted, especially the bard. Other life style changes, and concern about having too much emotional investment in the game led to the groups disbandment. Some members attempted to continue playing by establishing TUC2.
