The flat of blade is etched with numerous fine lines that match the arc of the blade, and when staring at them they sometimes seem to move across the blade.

When in battle, each swing to strike leaves a visible trail in the air making it difficult to determine where the real blade is. After 2 continuous rounds of fighting, attackers are at -1 to hit and after 4 rounds, they attack at -2.
