Sapphire Staff

The Sapphire staff is about ¾ inch thick and 18 inches long. It is made from blue sapphire and has a star shaped cross section, with a 1 ½ inch knob of black star sapphire at the top.

Powers

• Functions as a magic quarterstaff growing from 18 inches to 12 feet long on demand.
• Starshine spell boost: Using a charge will cause a field similar to Starshine to surround the caster centered on the staff. When the wielder then casts a spell, that spell will be enhanced so that saves against the spell are at -2, and further increased in power in the following order:
• +1 per die to damage rolls or
• 50% longer duration or
• 50% increase in area of affect.
