Phoenix Medallion

This 4” gold medallion is permanently mounted to a platinum chain. The medallion depicts the image of an iridescent phoenix with rubies for eyes and wings lifted above its head to form a circle. A small 1” crystal sun disk is mounted above the head between the outstretched wings. When worn over Sun Plate, it will naturally fall directly over the center of the bronze inlay sun image.

Powers

The medallion normally provides +1 protection, but in the hands of a Paladin the following additional powers are granted:

• The medallion functions as a Ring of Fire Resistance.
• Magic Missile once per day, 7 missiles in colors of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet, doing damage per missile of 1d4 +1 per color level. Missiles can be launched all in one round, or one per round with skipped rounds skipping the associated color. Missiles will launch from the medallion or through Sunstorm.
• Color Spray once per week at 7th level, beaming directly from the medallion or through the Sun Blade.
• Once per week, the wearer can generate a protective golden glow for 3 rounds that will require +3 weapons to be hit. The protection appears as golden faerie fire, attracting attention to the wearer.

The medallion will interact with Sun Plate making the armor feather weight and can transform the armor into a golden surcoat at will.

The Sun Disk does not detach and is not the same size as the sun emblem for Sunstorm.
