The wielder is naturally attuned to plants and animals within 1 mile, and has wilderness survival proficiency in the immediate terrain by observing the plants and animals.
The sword exists on multiple planes, using this nature to protect certain aspects of its magical power, while enhancing others.  The sword doesn't lose any of its combat bonuses when traveling to the ethereal. astral, inner and outer planes.  Other powers of the sword are retained on the various planes, but their operation may be altered by the fundamental nature of the plane.

=== Animal Friendship ===
The sword can strike creatures whose primary existence is on a different plane than the wielder. This typically applies to astral, ethereal, negative, positive and even the plane of shadows, but can also be effective against creatures using planar portals or windows, including one way or viewing only. The sword appears solid and substantial against such opponents, while the wielder appears as a shadowy indistinct figure that can be attacked at -2 penalty.
Up to 24 hit dice of natural animals of neutral alignment and animal intelligence can be attracted as companions. Wolves and dogs, rams, owls, hummingbirds and snakes are treated as half their actual hit dice, allowing twice the number to be attracted. All animal friends will become docile and follow the blade owner about unless the habitat is not suitable or the blade owner dismisses them. Neither will they attempt to harm each other while under the friendship influence. Natural animals not befriended generally behave as is the blade owner were not there; completely ignoring in most cases. Natural wolves will never attack the blade owner, even if not befriended.

=== Speak with Plants ===
The sword gains an additional +1 bonus against extra planar creatures who can only be hit by magical weapons. This bonus only applies when the creatures is not on its native plane, and may be applicable when the sword is on an alternate plane.
The sword wielder can speak with plants on a very rudimentary level and exercise limited control over them such as causing thickets to part to allow passage, or vines to entangle pursuers.

=== Druid Spells ===
When the sword travels to various planes, or operates across planes, its material composition will alter to conform to the nature of the plane; thus while on the elemental plane of earth the sword may appear crystalline composed of precious gems, or as solid cloud while on the plane of air, or as precious petrified woods in the feywild. The sword can also manifest different powers while operating across multiple planes of existence, for example it could be sheathed in lightning when reaching into the plane of air, while simultaneously shedding moonfire on the prime material.
The wielder gains additional Druid spells in the plant and animal spheres as if they were one level higher than their current level, even allowing spells for a non-Druid as if they were first level.

=== Planar Vision ===
When the sword operates on more than one plane of existence, the wielder may see up to 30' on that plane by concentration. Such images are overplayed as a translucent image over the current planes reality. While the wielder can easily choose to see into typical adjacent planes such as the astral, ethereal and shadow plane, this will also allow sight into other planes through portals or when being scried.

== Planar Transport ==
When holding the sword, the wielder can travel to any plane desired at will, but only one visit to a particular plane per day.  Thus, the wielder could visit the astral plane, return to the prime material plane, then visit the ethereal plane, but could not return to the prime material until 24 hours had elapsed since the first return to the prime material, though he could choose to move on to other planes with ease. All gear carried, including several tiny and small animal companions or a single larger companion up to 170 pounds, can accompany the wielder.

Transportation to other planes is safe in that the travelers will never arrive inside solid objects, but ability to survive in the environment of the new plane is not conferred to the travelers. The wielder may spend time to preview the location prior to transport.

=== Plane Shift ===
Once per day, the wielder may transport up to seven additional creatures and their gear to another plane. All creatures to be transported must be touching the wielder or the sword.  Transport is instant, arriving in a location large enough to accommodate all travelers.

Unwilling creatures can be sent by touch from either the wielder or sword, allowing a saving throw to avoid being sent to the destination plane designated by the wielder. No saving throw is granted on a successful hit with the sword. There is only a 10% chance of sending the creature to an exact location, who otherwise appears in a random location on the plane.

=== Banishment ===
Once per week, the wielder can cast ''power word, banishment''. Extra-planar creatures that currently have less than 70 hit point are banished to their properly named home plane for a year and a day.

Powers

Planes

The sword exists on multiple planes, using this nature to protect certain aspects of its magical power, while enhancing others. The sword doesn't lose any of its combat bonuses when traveling to the ethereal. astral, inner and outer planes. Other powers of the sword are retained on the various planes, but their operation may be altered by the fundamental nature of the plane.

The sword gains an additional +1 bonus against extra planar creatures who can only be hit by magical weapons. This bonus only applies when the creatures is not on its native plane, and may be applicable when the sword is on an alternate plane.

Planar Vision

When the sword operates on more than one plane of existence, the wielder may see up to 30' on that plane by concentration. Such images are overplayed as a translucent image over the current planes reality. While the wielder can easily choose to see into typical adjacent planes such as the astral, ethereal and shadow plane, this will also allow sight into other planes through portals or when being scried.

Planar Transport

Plane Shift

Once per day, the wielder may transport up to seven additional creatures and their gear to another plane. All creatures to be transported must be touching the wielder or the sword. Transport is instant, arriving in a location large enough to accommodate all travelers.

Unwilling creatures can be sent by touch from either the wielder or sword, allowing a saving throw to avoid being sent to the destination plane designated by the wielder. No saving throw is granted on a successful hit with the sword. There is only a 10% chance of sending the creature to an exact location, who otherwise appears in a random location on the plane.

Banishment

Once per week, the wielder can cast power word, banishment. Extra-planar creatures that currently have less than 70 hit point are banished to their properly named home plane for a year and a day.

Fine lines of gold, electrum and bronze tracery form images of vines and woodland animals on the pommel piece between the gems near the handle. Small pieces of amber with leaves, flowers and insects are arranged on the vines.
