Ice Talon

Ice Talon is the House Blade of Khilat. It is a long sword of unusual style. The shiney silver handle has the appearance of a finely crafted reptilian arm ending in a taloned claw grasping an 2 inch diameter orb of moon stone. The blade is distinctly Elven and crafted from silver mithril alloy with a blue tint. It has finely etched dragon scales from the handle to the tip.

Ice Talon is intelligent with a Lawful Good alignment. It has an intelligence of 16 and can speak Elvish, Silver Dragon and Draconic. The blade has an ego of 14. While the blade is Lawful Good, it will readily tolerate any good elf or dragon. It can only be wielded by members of the House of Khilat who have Draconic Heritage. It understands that it's purpose is to bring order and continuity to the house. It will always seek out and serve the leader of the house, or establish one when none exist. It has rarely seen actual combat, though the Lord Protector of the House has wielded the blade in combat as the need has arisen.

The blade has a special purpose to defeat evil. It is especially vigilant when evil is detected within members of the Khilat House, which it will not tolerate. It is rather obsessive about killing evil dragons, typically seeking a well planned strategy to rid the world of such menaces. When pursuing its special purpose, it can disintegrate its opponents.
