Gem of Brightness

This clear gem is a 2” long hexagonal prism. When inserted into the handle of Sunstorm, it will click in and remain relatively secure.

Powers

Once inserted, the blade will begin to glow, and the three powers of the gem can be used through the sword as follows:

• A glow can be directed in a cone out to 10’.
• Dazzling Beam (1 charge) emits a 1’ wide beam out to 50’ blinding one opponent for 1d4 Rounds.
• Nova Pulse (5 charges) emits a 5’ wide beam out to 30’ blinding for 1d4 rounds for permanent eye damage resulting in a penalty to hit of -1 to -4 thereafter .
• The sword can dispel darkness using 1 charge and continual darkness for 5 charges.
