Caithyra Windsong

Caithyra is a Adult Song Dragon who’s father was a gold elf. Her human form has a slight hint of gold elf heritage and her ears are slightly pointy. Her skin is lightly bronzed. She has golden blond hair and light green eyes. She is very beautiful, but also incredibly strong. She appears to be around 20 years old and naive, though she is over 100 years old.

She has a light personality and sings nearly constantly, sometimes even in her sleep. She loves performing on stage, either acting or singing, and especially if both are involved in a role. She strongly opposes evil, and uses her charm to outwit evil people and monsters. She also takes her responsibility as a Harper seriously.

Caithyra’s mother left her father before Caithyra was born, so that she could raise her openly as a Song Dragon. Caithyra’s father was a skilled, but perhaps under appreciated, Elven Minstrel with a powerful voice. Caithyra learned Dragonsong and Elven singing from her mother from an eagerly age. Later, she returned to the Elven community for formal training as a minstrel, and achieving some skill in Spellsinging. She adopted the name “Windsong” to ease her interactions with the elves. Though she had a unique sound to her voice that was often attributed to her “human” heritage, she moved from mentor to mentor. She even came in contact with her father, though he didn’t know who she was.

As a juvenile dragon, she struck out on her own to see the world, easily moving between human and Elven society. She received training under various bards, including several skilled thespians, a charlatan, a loremaster, and a gallant. She learned acting, history, sword play, and the art of love. She also entered a period of seducing and conning powerful, evil men, to bring them down or occasionally kill them.

She was recruited into the Harpers, a cause to which she has become deeply committed. Her original mentor and many of her original contacts have since been found out and neutralized. She continued as a free agent taking orders and working with other Harpers as she encountered them.

During one of her missions in the north, she was ambushed by Zhentarim agents. She dare not transform to a dragon which would have blown her cover, and left her too vulnerable during the transformation. A silver dragon flew in and turned the tide of battle. Once the fighting was over the dragon revealed himself as Chiliad. She began finding ways to work with Chiliad in her Harper assignments.

Caithyra found she had many things in common with Chiliad, and starting reporting directly to him. She has tremendous respect for him as a Harper and Bard. She also see’s herself as a protector of Ilyriciel's Harp of Valantra.
