This armor always appears as the finest quality with markings dedicated to a particular deity.

Powers

This armor is initially crafted from high quality full plate mail using metal based on its final protective magic, typically with little decoration. A True Seeing spell will reveil the armor's true nature.

The full power of the armor becomes available when worn by someone who wields divine magic powers, such as priests, paladins and rangers (typically of spell casting level though some exceptions may apply). This may also apply to Chosen, Master Harpers and others with divine favor that manifests as miraculous power. This armor can transform on mental command to any form of armor while retaining its magical plus. The initial transformation will be to the best armor that a particular clergyman can wear in service to their patron deity, and will be highly decorated in markings associated with the deity based on the clergyman's rank as if the armor was ceremonial in nature. After the first transformation, the armor can be changed to any kind from padded to full plate mail with any desired decoration though this will naturally conform to the wearers patron power unless specifically overridden. The armor can also transform into clothing; typically the appropriate ceremonial priestly vestments associated with their class and rank, but any clothing can be created.

This magical armor can be transformed into forms of armor not permitted to the wearer such as Druids in full plate mail. Priestly vestments for another priest can be created and worn. Such clergy violations may cause sanctions from the wearer's patron power.

When found in treasure hordes, or taken from the bodies of slain opponents, the armor will always be in the form of armor most appropriate to the wearers priestly station and rank and showing the symbols of the last owners patron deity. If removed from a living opponent or the wearer gives the magical armor to another, it will be transfered in its current form of armor or clothing. Thus, this armor has a tendency to remain within a specific faith, though there are stories of cases where transfer of this magical garment has revealed loyalty to deities other than expected. The armor will always initially transform to a kind showing the patron deity of the new wearer.
