Spiked Buckler

On mental command, this 3” diameter metal disk enlarges to form a spiked buckler, an armed shield having a spike equivalent to a dagger in combat. The buckler disk may be used by any class permitted to use edged weapons. It provides a +1 to armor class, to hit and damage. When in buckler form, the spike sheds light to 5’ and can generate a single magic missile once per day.

Spells of Choice

A War Wizard’s spells of choice are enhanced, either gaining an additional +1 on initiative to cast, or an additional -1 penalty on the opponent’s saving throw. No additional spells of choice are gained, and only spells already selected are enhanced.

For casters that do not already have the benefit of spells of choice, a spell of choice is gained for every 5 levels in an arcane spell casting class, with benefits similar to the War Wizard. Additional bonuses are gained for every 5 levels the spell has been declared as a spell of choice. Spells of choice can be selected as soon as the required levels have been achieved, but a new spell can only be selected once a month.

Spell Book

Each wearer gains access to a blank storage area to record spells as if using a spell book. An unlimited number of spells and their variants can be stored for future memorization.

Read Magic

The wearer can cast read magic once per day. This is a universal spell, able to read spell books, priest and wizard scrolls, and magical script. Even spells recorded in a script not usually used but the spell caster can be read. Arcane spells read can be stored into the spell book of the kiira immediately for later memorization.

Spellcraft Proficiency

The user gains the benefit of the spellcraft proficiency. If the wearer already knows the sepllcraft proficiency, then a +2 bonus is gained on proficiency checks.
