Powers

Psionic Mind

The thaelkiira develops independent psionic intelligence grown from the owner’s mind within one week. The cloned persona is separate but intrinsically bound to the wearer’s mind. The cloned persona has aspects of a split personality of the wearer. It can operate and think independently of the wearer while remaining constantly in contact. The wearer and the cloned persona can use psionic disciplines independently in the same round. The cloned persona can splice two or more separate powers for the wearer, from either the cloned persona or the wearer. Spliced powers can be combined into a more effective power or simply occur in the same round.

Receptacle

The thaelkiira serves as a receptacle able to store double the wearer’s PSP. The receptacle generates and automatically charges itself at the rate of 5 PSP per hour.

The wearer can transfer PSP into the receptacle automatically at a predetermined rate, with a maximum rate of 1 PSP per round, but typically 2 PSP per turn while resting. The wearer can retrieve stored points automatically and immediately, up to but not exceeding their personal capacity. PSP stored in the receptacle can be used by the wearer or by the cloned persona.

Whenever the receptacle is not at full capacity and actively being charged, it will immediately begin drawing PSP from all available external sources until it is full. The receptacle will perform a very slow psychic drain of 1 PSP per hour from up to 5 intelligent beings (low intelligence or higher) or magic items within 30 yards, shifting indiscriminately between all available targets to avoid fatigue. Entities with intelligence scores above 18 or possessing psionics can choose to block the drain, and the receptacle will prefer other available sources. If other sources are not available, it will drain 1 PSP per hour from its wearer, unless the wearer’s PSP is completely exhausted. It can detect intelligent beings within 60 yards and can warn the wearer.

Psionic Combat

The cloned persona gains a defense mode every month. All contact and psionic combat is routed through the cloned persona until it’s stored PSP is exhausted. The wearer can choose to assist the cloned persona in attack or defense by using a personal mode simultaneously. Once the cloned persona has run out of PSP, it and the wearer will appear as psionically dead.

Psionic Abilities

The cloned persona develops one devotion from each discipline; one per month, starting with wearer’s primary or most developed discipline. Devotions will develop from latent abilities of the wearer following psychic impressions for those abilities from previous owners.
