Planar

The sword gains magic bonuses when it visits planes beyond the Prime Material Plane. Its spell like powers function at full effect, operating within the limits of any permanent planar restrictions.

• +1 on the Inner Planes
• +2 on the Outer Planes
• +3 on the Astral or Ethereal Planes
• +4 in the Court of the Star Sapphire demiplane

The blade gains bonuses on the prime material plane when used against extra-planar creatures.

• +2 vs Outer Plane Opponents
• +3 vs Astral or Ethereal Plane Opponents

Similar to the powers of a cockatrice, the magic of the blade can breach the barriers between planes to attack extra-planar opponents. It can strike targets on the Astral, Ethereal, Shadow and various pocket dimensions, so long as the target is subject to physical attack on their plane of existence. Attacks are made with a penalty of one magical plus from the sword.

When this power is activated, the blade is clearly visible and tangible on the target’s plane of existence. If the opponent can make attacks into the wielder’s plane, any penalty they may have had due to the wielder being a hidden opponent is reduced by half, so a -4 penalty against invisible targets is treated as -2 instead.

The sword can orient the wielder to know what direction to travel.

Teuvel'Khilat

• Luck Blade - Spellsong will enable casting one priest spell per day on planes where Eilistraee does not grant spells.
• Falconblade - On the astral plane, the falcon is magically bound to the sword, but exists as an actual falcon that serves more as an intelligent animal companion on the plane. Falconstrike attacks are not available.
• Esterel - On the ethereal plane, Esterel is magically bound to the sword, but he takes his natural form of a cloud of sparkling gas approximately 15 feet in diameter, centered around the sword. He will defend Chiliad against all threats, and attempt to absorb any Gingwatzim smaller than himself.

Feature

The blade from the cross guard to the tip has changed to clear crystal sapphire, while retaining the properties, strength and flexibility of the original metal construction. The details of the craftsmanship with intricate structures are clearly visible in the crystalline composition of the blade, including the circles with inset stars and metallic laminates. The quarter moon circlets have a faint glow and the stars shimmer like star sapphires in the sun.

Rite

Lord Belsilvar

gathered 3 Starsingers and 7 Knights of the 7th Order of the Seven Sacred Mysteries, along with the silver dragon Khilat. The ceremony was held in an ancient moon temple high in the Star Mounts, under a bright full moon and clear sky in a field of Motes of Moonlight and a Moonbeam spell. The Starsingers called Moonfire onto the alter to bathe Lord Elian and the sword. Each of the knights called forth Moon Blade spells in the shapes of their preferred swords and dubbed Lord Elian and the Moonblade which absorbed each of the seven Moon Blade spells. Lord Elian cast Detect Spirits at the same moment his own spirit was bound to the blade and he watched it pass into the moonstone.
